An Outstanding Musician

Viktor Haraszti, the Hungarian a saxophonist and clarinetist was born on 30th April 1972 in Budapest. He started his musical education with taking classical piano lessons at the age of 8 and he was 11 when he started with the clarinet.

Clarinet was his main instrument when he applied to the famous Béla Bartók Conservatory in Budapest, which is a secondary school for young musicians. Viktor picked the saxophone right after his graduation and has been playing it ever since. Soon afterwards he started working as a saxophonist in Budapest and due to his musical skills he could easily find local bands to play with.

During these years his interest in jazz grew and took private lessons to increase his knowledge. In 2000 Victor was admitted to the Constantine Hugens Conservatory in Zwolle, the Netherlands and in 2002 he continued his studies at the Conservatory in Utrecht, where he graduated with honours in June 2005.
